Bonneville Salt Flats

Bonneville Speed Week was the original destination for my trip in the early planning phase, then I just started adding more destinations. Speed Week is just amazing. There are tons of cars, trucks and motorcycles that come there for a week in August to run the famous measured mile. What was also neat are the vehicles that people bring with them to get themselves around the salt. The camping area is about 3 miles from the pits and the pits are stretched out over a few acres so having something to cruise around is ideal. I was only at Speed Week for one day but I definitely plan to go back.
