Hoover Dam

Everyone knows the story of the Hoover Dam. The area around the dam is going through some changes. They are building a huge bridge called the Mike O'Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge to bypass the actual road that rides on top of the dam. After the attacks on Sept. 11 2001 security concerns were brought to light about the traffic flow over the bridge. The new bridge will allow all traffic to stay off of the dam road. Semi trucks and other large vehicles are barred from croosing the dam and all other vehicles are searched prior to crossing. The Hoover Dam is an amazing engineering feat.
